Marinated mushrooms

Quick marinated mushrooms are a simple and delicious recipe that will allow you to prepare appetizing mushrooms at home. Mushrooms, soaked in a fragrant marinade, will become a great addition to various dishes, whether it’s salads, sandwiches, or side dishes. It’s incredibly easy to prepare marinated mushrooms. This appetizer will always be handy alongside a main course and can replace any salad on the lunch table.

  • Bulb onions 1 
  • Mushrooms champignons 500 g
  • Water 1 liter
  • Bay leaf 1 
  • Black peppercorns 5 
  • Dried marjoram 1 tsp
  • Table vinegar 9% 80 ml
  • Salt 1.5 tsp
  • Sugar 1 tbsp
  • Olive oil 1 tbsp

  • Wash the mushrooms. Boil them in slightly salted water for 5 minutes. Then drain the boiled mushrooms in a colander. Prepare the vegetables. Finely chop the onion, slice the garlic.
  • Prepare the marinade. Bring 1 liter of water to a boil together with bay leaf, black pepper, and marjoram. Boil for about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and add salt, sugar, vinegar, and olive oil.
  • Cut the mushrooms in half if they are large, but it’s better to leave small mushrooms whole. Place them in a deep ceramic dish (e.g. a liter jar). Sprinkle with pepper cubes on top, then add layers of sliced onion, garlic, and dill until the end.
  • Pour in the hot marinade and cover with a lid. Let it cool down, then place it in the refrigerator. The mushrooms will be ready in 12 hours.
